Getting started
How do I get started?
Tell us about your child via the quote form, or book a free 30-minute consult. We'll match you with a tutor within 48 hours.
Do I need to commit long-term?
No. There are no contracts. Pay per session, cancel anytime with 24 hours' notice.
What's the free consult?
A 30-minute video call (or phone call, your choice). We talk about your child's situation, what they're struggling with, and whether we're a good fit. No card required, no commitment.
Subjects & levels
What subjects do you cover?
K-12 math (including all Grade 11-12 university-prep math), high school sciences (Bio/Chem/Physics), high school English, Grade 11-12 Computer Science, K-8 general support, and EQAO/OSSLT prep.
Do you tutor university students?
Yes, on a case-by-case basis for first-year math (calculus, linear algebra) and intro computer science. Email us with the course code.
Can you help with IB or AP?
Yes for math and sciences. Mention the program in the quote form so we match the right tutor.
Format
In-person or online — which is better?
In-person is usually better for younger students and kids who focus better with a person in the room. Online works well for high school and up, busy schedules, or students outside the GTA.
What does online tutoring look like?
We use Zoom with screen sharing and a digital whiteboard. The tutor and student can write on the same surface, work through problems together, and share files.
Where do in-person sessions happen?
Your home, a local library, or a quiet public spot. We serve Scarborough, North York, Markham, Pickering, East York, and downtown Toronto.
Pricing & scheduling
How much does it cost?
Rates depend on subject, grade level, and frequency. Submit a quote request and you'll get a personalized rate within 24 hours.
How long is a session?
60 minutes by default. 30-minute and 90-minute sessions are available.
How often should my child have sessions?
Most students do 1-3 sessions per week. We'll recommend a frequency based on the subject, your child's pace, and any upcoming tests.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. We ask for 24 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations may be charged.
Tutors
Are your tutors background-checked?
Yes. Every tutor passes a vulnerable-sector check before working with students.
Can I pick the tutor?
We recommend a tutor based on your child's subjects and learning style. If it isn't a fit after the first session, you don't pay, and we match you with someone else.
What qualifications do your tutors have?
Most are current or recent university students in math, science, engineering, or education. Some have OCT teaching certification.
